France passes supply chain due diligence law

Big step towards better human rights and environmental protection

The French Parliament has adopted a law establishing a duty of vigilance obligation for parent and subcontracting companies. The law obliges French companies to adhere to annually published vigilance plans in order to prevent violations of human rights and environmental damage throughout their production chains.
