Human Trafficking & Modern-Day Slavery Legislation

A new set of laws on the books of the United States of America, the European Union, and the United Kingdom have turned the spotlight on human rights issues as a major financial and reputational risk for affected companies and their supply chains. These laws create significant new supply chain liabilities and responsibilities for affected companies, requiring them to report what measures they are taking to mitigate human trafficking and modern-day slavery within their own operations as well as their supply chains and service provision.

A precondition for complying with this set of laws is data. The electronic Labor Rights Template (eLRT) is designed to support companies in collecting, analyzing, managing, and reporting the relevant data in accordance with the regulatory and corporate requirements.
